Welsh longcase clock by Charles Vaughan of Pontypool
A fine quality Welsh longcase clock by Charles Vaughan of Pontypool, South Wales. It has a brass face which is engraved “Charles Vaughan Pontpool” and is dated 1747 with a thirty hour birdcage movement. The panelled oak case is made from oak which has excellent colour. The top panel is
beautifully inlaid with sycamore and has a design of a wheel or compass with eight tulip-head buds.
